"I Don't Want To Share" is the most expansive and professional work I have done yet. It's my first taste at illustrating, editing, and producing a real book. Creating this book has been a huge learning experience for me; learning how to edit professionally, digital illustration techniques, font creation, web design, and more.
The book was first brainstormed by myself and my Mum together in 2020, with no deadline to complete it, it was merely a passion project to collaborate between her educational expertise and my artwork to begin with. I slowly drew pages, months apart when I grew interest to illustrate a page.
We started talking about the prospects of making it a reality and publishing the book professionally to sell. I then started to up the workload and complete the book so we could begin chatting to publishers to release it as a real product.
We eventually found our publisher with Partnership Publishing and Magic Mouse, whilst also founding a publisher name for ourselves under the name "Doodlebug Publications." I started working with the publisher to edit the book correctly and accordingly to feedback they gave me.
